Great Sensor, Stand Needs Improvement

Love the sensor. It's quite accurate and suits the needs I have for it. Dialing in the reported temperature takes a bit of tweaking, but nothing hard (just adjusting the offset until it reads a more accurate temp). However, I'm not sold on the stand. I haven't managed to break it like some other reviews have stated, but once you pop the ball into the socket, you better make sure that's the angle you want it at. I cannot get it to pivot at all and I'm afraid to push too hard on it, or it just might break. Popping out of the socket takes work too with more fears of breaking it.

Regarding the stand, we understand your concerns and have worked on improving the design to address these issues. The stand has been adjusted for a tighter fit since heat from being plugged in could cause it to loosen over time.

We are also exploring resin printing for the stands, which would provide smoother operation and increased strength. We truly appreciate your input and will continue to make improvements based on feedback like yours.

MSR-2 - Super mmWave Multisensor

A useful multisensor with small dimensions. Seamless integration into HomeAssistant. Setting up zones was a bit problematic for me, but presence detection works reliably, even when the object is at rest.
Although I am not entirely sure about the reliability of temperature measurement, I was pleased with the possibility of using the RGB LED and buzzer notification. I had a problem with the delivery of my package, but when I contacted Apollo Automation they solved this problem very quickly. Super product, super support. Thanks.

Perfect little stand to angle the MSR-2

The first MSR-2 I ordered I didn’t order the stand I was worried it might break based on a previous comment. Luckily the ball and ball holder were strong and I was able to angle the new MSR-2 and used the double sided tape to ensure a secure fit.

Advanced sensor with great technical support

Initially I had trouble calibrating the mmWave sensor, it took me a while to understand the concept and decide on an approach. My use case is very simple (use it as an improved PIR sensor), and for that many capabilities are not needed, so I got confused as to what to configure and whatnot.
Otherwise the sensor is pretty good, very small and the stand is very sturdy. Everything worked flawlessly. Support was very helpful and even though I asked many questions they were still patient.
Not 5 stars but four because (1) I couldn't get it work just as fast as a PIR and (2) the docs in my opinion should have more straightforward use cases. But that will probably happen soon enough.
