Hi Travis,
We’re sorry to hear about your experience with the short temperature probe, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to provide your feedback.
The temperature probe should function correctly with the battery model, and we’d like to help troubleshoot the issue. First, ensure that the probe is securely connected before the sensor goes to sleep and verify that the update intervals for the temperature and humidity are quicker than the sleep intervals. The awake time should also be set for at least 60 seconds to allow the data to refresh properly.
If the probe remains unavailable, pressing the reset button after assembling the sensor and connecting the probe should help. There’s no need to reassemble the case before inserting the probe, as plugging it in after assembly should work as well.
Additionally, we recommend checking out our wake-up guide here: Wake Up Battery Sensor Guide (https://wiki.apolloautomation.com/products/general/battery-sensors/wake-up-battery-sensor/?h=wake). It provides detailed instructions to avoid removing the battery to wake up the device.
Did you have a chance to reach out to our support team for assistance? We’d be happy to help resolve this issue and ensure your sensor works as expected. Thank you again for your support, and we hope to address these concerns so you feel confident in considering additional purchases in the future.
Best,
