At Apollo Automation, we are incredibly proud to announce our first industrial installation: a full deployment of our sensors at LOTTE Aluminium Materials USA’s factory in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. This milestone represents much more than just an install. It reflects the strength of local partnerships, innovation, and the growing role of Kentucky-made technology in advanced manufacturing.
LOTTE’s decision to work with a local Kentucky company—for both the manufacturing and installation of sensors, all within a Kentucky facility—means a great deal to us. We are a small but passionate team based just down the road, and being chosen for this project is a powerful affirmation of our work, mission, and community values.
A Closer Look at the Sensors
The sensors we installed are precision temperature and humidity sensors, designed to perform in demanding environments. Each device supports WiFi and PoE (Power over Ethernet), allowing for flexible installation and reliable connectivity in large industrial settings.
What truly sets our sensors apart:
• 100% local and private operation
• No cloud subscription required
• High accuracy and stability for critical readings
• Custom solutions available for unique automation needs
These sensors were built with the Home Assistant ecosystem in mind, but their applications go far beyond the smart home. In LOTTE’s case, they will help monitor and optimize conditions throughout the production space, creating a more controlled and data-driven environment.
A Kentucky Collaboration
This partnership is a perfect example of the innovation happening across the Bluegrass State. Companies like LOTTE are choosing to invest in local technology, and we’re honored to support them in that effort. A special thank you to Jack Wells for helping bring this collaboration to life.
We look forward to supporting more businesses throughout Kentucky and beyond with custom automation solutions and locally built hardware.
If you’re looking for reliable, private, and accurate sensing solutions for your home or business, Apollo Automation is here to help.
