How It Works

Plug the Official ESPHome C6 Board into USB-C, then set it up in the ESPHome Device Builder, a visual editor that runs on your desktop. No YAML knowledge required, though the YAML is always there if you want it. Connect up to two modules through the 14-pin FPC ports, and run two at once to build a multisensor. Use the board on its own or connect it to Home Assistant for deeper automations.

Built on Open Home Principles

Everything runs locally. Your data stays yours. No cloud required, no subscriptions, no accounts. That's privacy.

The board works with ESPHome, Home Assistant, and open standards like Thread. Zigbee is also possible at the chip level for advanced users. No vendor lock-in. That's choice.

Open hardware you can build on, modify, and keep using. That's sustainability.

The majority of profit from every board goes directly to the Open Home Foundation, supporting the future of ESPHome, Home Assistant, and over 250 open source projects that put people first.

Why ESPHome?

ESPHome turns inexpensive microcontrollers into capable devices without writing a single line of code. No C++, no Arduino IDE. With the ESPHome C6 Board you use a visual editor to set up real devices in minutes. But approachable does not mean limited. ESPHome supports hundreds of sensors, displays, switches, lights, and components out of the box, and powers everything from DIY monitors to commercially certified products. Because ESPHome is an Open Home Foundation project, it is backed by one of the largest open source smart home communities in the world.
